Alexander Skarsgård was robbed!! Generation Kill was nominated in everything (twice in one category) but for the actors! It did get outstanding mini-series which I'm happy about, though it's only 1 of 2 nominated, so the others can't have been that good. The only reason I can think of is he's not a big enough "name". I'm not the only one that thinks so.

The unluckiest actor of all, however, is Alexander Skarsgård. Equally brilliant as the icy moral centre of Generation Kill and the devious, devilish Eric in True Blood, he found himself without any nominations at all. When Jon Cryer and Charlie Sheen can still find themselves nominated for the execrable Two and Half Men the omission of Skarsgård feels like the biggest oversight of all.


He was also cast in a Remake Of Sam Peckinpah’s "Straw Dogs", which should be interesting.

Some shows like 24, and Lost surprised me, I didn't think many people still watched. True Blood also got 3 nominations, but nothing in the "big" categories.

  • Look what I got in the mail today! SWEDISH FISH! I kept hearing how yummy these are but they don't sell them here so the very awesome Lilja from Alexander Skarsgård Fans sent some my way. Australian quarantine opened the packaged first, and also inserted some brochures, but the fish were unharmed and as yummy as ever. I have them sitting in a jar from IKEA, how fitting.
